ABOUT THE MARINE CORPS BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION
Each year on November 10, Marines around the world come together to celebrate the birthday of the United States Marine Corps, founded in 1775. More than simply an anniversary, the Marine Corps Birthday is one of the Corps’ most honored traditions—a time to recognize generations of Marines who have served, remember those who are no longer with us, and celebrate the brotherhood and legacy that connects Marines past and present.
For Marines, the Birthday represents tradition, sacrifice, camaraderie, and pride in the title of United States Marine. Whether someone served decades ago or is currently wearing the uniform, November 10 is a day that brings Marines together as one family.
